Three mandatory deductions

Every employee contributes to three government funds. SSS covers pensions and benefits (5% employee share, capped at a ₱35,000 salary credit). PhilHealth funds health coverage (2.5% employee share). Pag-IBIG is the housing fund (2%, capped at ₱200 a month).

Common questions

For 2026 the total SSS rate is 15% of the monthly salary credit. The employee pays 5%, capped at ₱1,750 a month (₱35,000 salary credit).
The premium is 5% of monthly basic salary, split equally, so the employee pays 2.5% — between ₱250 and ₱2,500 a month.
The employee share is 2% of monthly pay (1% if ₱1,500 or less), capped at ₱200 a month.
